My Blog Sucks Now

Now that I'm not dating, my blog sucks....its just me talking about the boring things that happen in my life.
The only interesting thing I have to post is this picture. I got it in an email. I can't figure out why someone would have a casket for sale in their yard. Where did they get it? Was someone ill, then miraculously cured? And they had already bought the casket? Who is going to buy a casket at a yardsale??? Creepy

I tried my first Medifasts "shake" today. It was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth! I am sending that crap back. I'm eating Taco Bell for lunch.

Ben brought Mahala to my house twice in the last 4 days. I called him last night and asked him to leave her at home next time...he said he wouldn't b/c he likes spending time with her. LIKES spending time with her??? Come on! I argued that soon they would have a baby, and he wouldn't want to spend time with HER anymore. He didn't contest that fact. I thought that was strange...considering how round Mahala has been looking lately. Maybe she's just getting fat.

I left some money at home for Haley to pick out some yarn for me to make Melissa a scarf & hat. I am so excited about it. I love starting a new project. I am working on a poncho for myself right now, but it will take a while. I am using this yarn called "micro-spun". Its very cotton-y, and thin...its going to make a really nice poncho.

Over & out.

Don't Hassle The Hoff

Those poor puppies...

On another note: Thanksgiving was good, and its over. We had good food, no fights or arguements...and fun. We visited with the Phillips and Friants, Jacob and Syd both capped off the festivities by bumping their heads and growing giant pump knots. Bless their hearts.

Ben & Mahala came and picked up Lily. I don't know why he insists on bringing her with him! She is starting to look fat. Dad noticed too...she's probably just eating b/c living with Belinda makes her crazy, and she's doing some emotional eating to try to keep herself sane.
I am sick again and am planning on going to Physician's Care in South Pittsburg...so I should have some good blog material after that! I think I have some kind of respiritory infection...I hope they give me some good cough medicine.

Well, I'm at work b/c trucks never stop. I have spent the morning posting an Alcoa wire for $455K. I will probably finish just in time to leave at noon; only to spend the rest of the afternoon at the walk-in clinic. Hope I don't get something like hoof and mouth disease from that place!

Signing off...and remember, Don't hassle the Hoff!

One Late Night

Last night me, Lily, Mom, & Dad trekked to Nashville to see the Lion King. Lily LOVED it! She sat in my lap the whole time and clapped at the end of every scene. We sat in the balcony on row Y...the VERY LAST row. We could see good though. Mom was totally in the zone, she was so excited about seeing her "first Broadway play". During intermission, I think she read the entire program.

Nikki, the girls, and I ran around on Saturday. We went to the "new" Mexican restaurant in Kimball, Mucho Caliente. I had nachos with chicken and jalapenos....those peppers were so hot, I was sick for the rest of the afternoon. The nachos were good though.
Then we went to Wal-Mart and picked up some more yarn. I made Lily a hat and scarf. They are so cute. Lily had a fit in Wal-Mart, crying that I was making her hot by holding her hand. We ran into John Fults and friends...he didn't speak to me, but Podno (?) seemed excited to meet me. Nikki said he was a ladies man.

Jason called, but I missed his call. Honest, I didn't hear my phone ring; it was probably during Lily's fit in Wal-Mart. He hasn't called back, so he must have decided that he couldn't handle being the man that calls the girl...and actually tries to get her to notice him. I didn't think he could do it. He is content to hide behind the memory of the things that happened between him and Callie. Oh well, his loss.

Haley is coming home this week, for Thxgiving. We are all excited, but Lily is most excited. She keeps asking what day Haley is coming home. I am looking forward to doing some cooking. I am going to make a "pumpkin roll" for dessert. It sounds really good from the recipe.

Well, break is over...signing off.

That's right...I am NOT wearing shoes!

Ok. My manager just passed me walking back to my desk without shoes on...I walked back to a cube behind me to get a stack of invoices I am keying.
She said "Kelly's barefoot...I'll pretend I didn't see that". If I had a dollar for all the times I saw her walk from her office to the printer...what? You guessed it...Barefooted!

The greasy cigarette

I called Jason on Tuesday night to ask for my Pampered Chef bowl back. He said he would bring it Wednesday...drive all the way to the Valley from Ft. O and bring it to me. Well, he called yesterday and wanted to have lunch, but he was short on cash and I would have to buy this time. I reluctantly agreed...instantly remembering the tales from Celeste, that he started doing the same thing to her around this point in their relationship. I talked to Carla, we agreed that I should call him back and tell him I was short on cash too, and couldn't buy. I did... he then confessed that he only said that b/c a friend had told him he should act like a dick head to me.

[wondering why a guy would want to treat a girl he is supposedly in love with that way]

He said he decided he would, then decided he couldn't. He told me he had the money, and we could have lunch. At this point, I didn't want to anymore...because now its not only the constant whining and needing to be babied; its lying and being a jerk too! I agreed again that we could, and we met at 11:00. Conversation was fine, no problems there...I just don't feel the same way. He emailed me and said that him asking me if I'm sure is just like me using the phrase "teeny tiny" all the time. I wrote back, saying I disagreed and why. Haven't heard from him. Waaaa

Anywho...
I watched "Medium" last night...its not as weird as I thought it would be, kinda stupid actually.
Lily gave herself a bath, she didn't wash her hair though. Then I let her stay up until 9:00 and watch the finale of "Dancing with the Stars". Emmitt Smith won. I had not followed the show, but its not a show you have to watch every week and keep up with. She didn't seem that interested in it though. Lily is very excited about Haley coming home for Thanksgiving next week though!

What's so wrong with Zech?

Why is Haley making that face? Her blogger comment says Zech was too close...wassup with that?

Don't ride with Kelly Conwell!!

Kelly had a wreck yesterday...we aren't really sure what happened. Carla thinks her front tire blew out when she was rear-ended, but no one stopped. She hit her head, and hurt her wrist. She came in today, and at some point she left to go to Wal-Mart. She drove off the road on her way back, and was taken to Erlanger. She has a severe concussion, a possible broken collarbone, and broken wrist. She missed her interview for the Credit Analyst position here, but she didn't think she was going to get it anyway. I wonder how she is. She blacked out, when she drove off the road, and doesn't really even remember going to Wal-Mart. WOW

I don't really have anything sharp, or funny to blog about today. I am tired, thirsty, and ready to go home.

At least I don't have Meegrain

Boy, the weekend was short! Dad and I spent yesterday afternoon watching "Young Frankenstein", and 3 episodes of "The Avengers". "The Avengers" is a show from the 60's about 2 spies in England...it was pretty flaky. In one episode, Steed & Mrs. Peale had their psyches switched with 2 bad spies. The bad spies killed a bunch of the good spies before Steed & Emma got their psyches back. Dad and I really enjoyed it though.

I did go into the liquor store on Friday night, and saw Jason...I already blogged about that. Well, he called me on Saturday. I didn't answer the phone b/c I didn't recognize the number. Right as it stopped ringing, I realized it was him calling from work. He left me a voicemail (another thing I HATE...just call me back later, like I said I have caller ID I will know you called) that said it was good to see me and that he missed me (boo hoo). That made me more glad that I stopped talking to him. He is such a whiny baby!

I have to take Lily back to the Doctor for the 4th time in a month...her left ear is stopped up (she says). The tube is out of that ear, so I suspect that it just feels different than her ear with the tube.
She came home last night with the daddy booger and kid booger dolls from the Mucinex commercials. She ran in the house and said, "Mommy, I have loogies!" She was so excited. She even slept with her loogies. Gross...

Ok, back to work...gonna be a long day since I can't take a lunch.

I would rather be in bed...

So, its Saturday and I'm at work...alone b/c Kelly had a bloody nose this AM. She said she will be in this afternoon to make up her 4 hrs, but (and I hate to say) I doubt she will. I say this only b/c I know how hard it would be for ME to do my "at home stuff" then go to work on a Saturday afternoon. When most people are winding down from their chores, etc, and probably cracking open a cold beer. I won't be doing that until about 10pm, since I had to work and still have my regular chores to do...which I never really completed last weekend b/c I got sick, and was sick all week.
I got my hair cut last night, Shannon did a great job. I took Lily to McDonald's and got her a happy meal...it came with a "Flushed Away" toy. That is some kid's movie about some rats in England that get flushed down a toilet. I guess its about their adventures trying to get out of the sewer. Gross, if you ask me. Then I did go into the liquor store and flaunt my new 'do...I must say I felt pretty hot yesterday, and that hair cut was just the extra boost I needed. Jason seemed surprised to see me, and even more surprised/ bummed out that I was fine and smiling.
Ben and Mahala came to pick up Lily...so I had to endure THAT. I hate when he brings her to my house. I have to sit there and shoot the shit with her and him while Lily plays with Mahala and acts like she's the coolest thing ever.
Well, I'm leaving here in 7 minutes. I will be 30 minutes short, but I have nothing else to do. I re-organized my file cabinet, cleaned out my "in" box (there were things in there from JUNE), and applied some Alcoa money.
Ok...2 minutes to go.......the weekend officially begins!

7 Ups

The 7 Ups

1. Wake Up !! Decide to have a good day
"This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance, > but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!
. . . for what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!
. . . to the Lord .
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me".
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!
. . . for something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!
. . . your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

I have caller ID - If you call me, I know it...I just might not want to talk to YOU!

So, last night I'm in bed trying to enjoy the quiet and watch my shows...when BUDDY FULLER calls me. TWICE!!! There is nothing that irritates me more than when people call over and over and over in one day (or in Buddy's case, in a matter of MINUTES). Thank God for caller ID!
Well, there are things that irritate me more, but not very many.

Lily is going to Ben's this weekend...and I get to work tomorrow, to make up the time I've missed this week. I only have to work 2.5 hrs tomorrow...but that still cuts into my Saturday, and I won't get to eat breakfast at Mom & Dad's. :(

I am getting a hair cut tonight, and then I'm going by Valley Wine & Spirits to get some good wine...and remind Jason what he is missing by being a whiny-ass baby. :) Hehe
Before the hair cut, I am going to take Bean to McDonald's and get her some nuggets and apple slices. I took her to a McDonald's on the way to Townsend once, and she got caramel with her apples. She loved that!

Over & Out!

Buddy Effin' Fuller

Buddy Fuller called me last night to invite me to the "Fuller Family" Thanksgiving & Christmas.
This AM I told Mom: " I will be sending Lily to Jasper, be on food stamps, and attend the Fuller Family holiday meals!" Hehehe! Next, I will be moving into a trashy single-wide trailer in Sequatchie!

I'm still sick today...of course I feel worse in the AM & PM, but I feel pretty good right now. I took some Tylenol Sinus this AM on an empty stomach, it made me want to puke. I ate a sausage biscuit, and felt better. My supervisor seem incredulous that I am still sick, and felt worse when I first got here. Give me a break...she is the one who missed 2 days b/c she had a migrain! That's like missing work b/c your fibromyalga is flaring up! "oh, can't make it in today, my chronic fatigue is really hitting me hard today!"

George the kitty man died yesterday. He got attacked by 2 dogs, and had internal injuries...Ben tried to do mouth to cute pink nose resesitation. Lily wasn't all that upset about it; she squeezed out a couple forced tears, then ran off to tell Poppa that Ge Ge died. Oh George! It is so sad. Ben was really crying on the phone with me yesterday, but it was right after it happened.
Lily said that when she gets to Daddy's house, he is going to take her to George's grave so she can put flowers on it...real flowers.

Well, time to get back to work...

Oh George

George is dead. :(

TomKat

I just read that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent $10k on a steak dinner! Hope it was really good.

Potato Soup & Traffic Jams

I was heading into work early this morning, to make up time I missed yesterday after going home sick...I had reached a point of no return on the interstate, when I heard on the radio they were shutting down I 24 E. behind me. So, I sat on the interstate for 1 hr 45 minutes this morning. Boy, was I glad when I heard the big rigs starting up...knew that meant we would be moving soon. So, now I have 5 hours instead of 3 to make up. Joy!!

Tonji gave me her recipe for potato soup today. I can't wait to try it, and I hope that Lily will try it. I am going to call it "white soup", so maybe she won't "guess" it has potatoes in it (she hates ALL things potato). That got me thinking, maybe I will buy some Campbell's potato soup for dinner tonight...cause there is NO WAY I'm cooking tonight (or folding Mt. Laundry).

I finished Lily's poncho...and found out that crocheting is MUCH faster than knitting. Lily really likes the poncho. I may start up another division of Swanky Baby (swanky kid)...and have a line of woven garmets & accessories! Hehehehe.... The TN Division.

Well, break time is over and I didn't get to search for the video clip of Faith Hill freaking out when Carrie Underwood won Female Vocalist of the Year. Maybe tomorrow.

Blah...

So, today I'm sick...not like deathly ill, but sick enough to make me want to stay home and sleep all day. But I can't. I took some medicine from the machine in the break room that dried out my sinuses, so I can hardly hold my eyes open...but my head and ears don't feel as stopped up now. I would really love to just sleep.

I learned to crochet this weekend (thanks Nikki). I successfully made Lily a poncho, trimmed in "fun fur". That stuff may be called "fun" but its not fun to crochet onto anything! You can hardly see what you're supposed to hook and pull. But I got it done, and its darlin. Lily really likes it too. Mom thinks I should make and sell them, but that is so much work...and I feel like I work enough as it is.

Lily is doing better, but I did notice that the stupid drug store gave her amoxicillin instead of augmentin. She is still coughing a lot, but looks better.

Oh my...on Desperate Housewive: Nora is DEAD! That crazy lady shot her! I was freaking out, then crying b/c she was telling Lynette how she wanted her to raise Kayla. Oh, so sad. Can't wait to see what happens next week, or if she even really died. You never know with those shows. Looks like Gabby & Carlos will get back together, but we'll see about that too.
Brothers & Sisters was good too...Kitty can't get a break with the men!

Ok...I have other things to do on my tiny little break.

OMG! Buddy Fuller told Nikki that he wanted to invite me to the Fuller Family Thanksgiving & Xmas! That poor guy can't take a hint. It was actually more like a straight forward, "we will never date, or even hang out". Bless his heart.

But really...I need my stuff back

Ok, so I have tried to call Jason at home b/c he has my boot, a ring (which he claims he will NOT return), and a pampered chef bowl. He didn't answer, and I hope he remembers that all that stuff is MINE. I don't know why he would try to or want to keep my ring. I shouldn't have given his watch back...if I didn't get the ring I could smash the watch. Brent Bass (sales man) asked me today how the "Liquor guy was doing". I told him I dumped him, and he said, "you do hate men" hehehee

I had a Mary Kay "show" at work on Halloween...I had to leave right when Reenie got here to take Lily back to the doctor. Several people bought stuff, and I got a free eyeshadow and lipstick for hosting on my original date. Then I got $75 of product for $35: another eyeshadow, another lipstick, lip primer (awesome stuff, keeps your lipstick on), eyeliner, and a lipgloss. LOVE it!
Poor Josh (Reenie's son) is having to do all this delivering of Mary Kay...so he is calling himself Ricky Bobby Kay. He is really funny, and has a very dry sense of humor. I like him. NOT like that, remember, I hate men!

Lily is still sick, staying with Mom today (and yesterday) so I can work late and make up some of my time for Tuesday. God forbid we ever get sick time! Geeze! I told mom last night that I was going to send Lily to Jasper Elem. and she didn't freak out like I thought she would; but she did make fun of it. Oh well...she's my kid, and I think that growing up in a community where she has friends would be good. Also, doesn't hurt that she won't get picked on b/c she lives in Jasper and not Signal or Lookout Mtn. I just thought/ think this is the best idea now...she needs security, and friends. I don't want her to be like I was at school.

Well, break is over...back to the grind. I don't know if I'm going to have enough work to stay till 6:00!

A Wet Halloween for the Little Mermaid

Took Lily to the doctor AGAIN yesterday...3rd time since 10/20. She has a sinus infection, and the doc gave her Augmentin. We had to wait a while at the pharmacy, and then the RX coverage that Ben is supposed to have denied, then the other card they said was cancelled. So I ended up paying the full amount of the prescription. Ben said he would look into the RX coverage problem...I'll believe it when I see it. He didn't even offer to reimburse me for the money I spent. He was supposed to have to work last night, so I was taking Lily. Turns out, he didn't have to, so he showed up to go with us around 6:30. I made taco soup, and we were eating when Mom called to say it was raining on Monteagle Mtn, and we better get out the door. We left as soon as we could, and it started raining as soon as we got to the 2nd house. So we went back home and took my car around.
We got finished and home by 7:30...Lily was a little damp, but she had a really good time. I am going to post pictures as soon as I get them developed (I think I am the only person in the world that doesn' t have a digital camera, but I also don't have a computer). Her Little Mermaid costume was really cute [thx Mahala for buying it...not for calling me to say you did]...the boo bag held a lot of candy too. Now I am working on a scarf...should be done with it soon. Knitting is much more fun than boys... :)
Bye for now!
