Starting a New "Primitive" Life

Boy, its been a while!!! Since I blogged last, I had a birthday, sent my baby off to school, and have discovered that there is a lot more to do at home during the day that I ever thought possible. I had a crummy part-time job for 3 weeks, then the new Goody's opened and I quit...I hated it. Thankfully I've been able to make it on child support, and odd jobs for my parents (I am proud to say that I now know how to weed-eat). But still, every few weeks I have an obsession party about my need to get off my ass and find a "real" job. I was in the middle of my obsession on Friday night, around midnight (couldn't turn my brain off, couldn't sleep...thank you bills); and I found myself going over job possibilies in my head. I ticked off the places I would go the next day to put in applications, and I said my little job prayer, "please God help me find a good job". Finally, thankfully-mercifully-I fell asleep; but was awakened the next morning at 8:30 by a call from my Aunt Nelda. At first I was worried b/c Aunt Nelda hasn't ever called my house before. My parents were out of town, and I had no idea what the call was about. She quickly eased my mind by telling me that she had called Nikki to get my number b/c she needed help with her business (Plum Nellie Primitives). Talk about God smacking me upside the head...like, "HELLO...I DO hear you". Needless to say, I was pretty excited, thankful, etc. I will be helping to create the boxes and other "primitive" items that people go nuts over. I, personally, and not a fan of this type of decor...but painting is right up my alley. So, I'm excited about my new job...it will work well with Lily's school schedule, I can wear whatever the heck I want, and if I work late I can drink beer. How 'bout them apples, Clyde??
Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up with my blog a little better than I have in the past 3 months...but I've been busy being a mom, mowing the yard, cooking-yes, I said cooking-, and helping with homework.
So...so long for now.
